The way we share ideas, learning, experiences, successes, and joy allows everyone to be their best at Ascendion.About the Role:Job Title: Facility Support Engineer - Mechanical (Data Centers)Job Description:Responsibilities:Provides necessary escort to third-party contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, and service providers on site.Works on tasks (e.g., making rounds, initial assessments on equipment performance) assigned with supervision.Perform basic monitoring of the performance of maintenance and operations of equipment (e.g., electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety) within the data center with supervisionVisual or non-intrusive preventative maintenanceSingle CRAH preventative maintenanceAHU filter replacementEyewash and duress button preventative maintenanceHumidifier preventative maintenanceVESDA alert or supervisory (low air flow)Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work and comply with all physical security procedures and policiesAbility to follow operating procedures (SOPs) for critical environment planned work activitiesFire alarm preventative maintenance (PM)Generator (quarterly and annual) PMExperience with roof top units (RTU) HVACExperience with Industrial Chillers preventative maintenanceExperience with fire pump & fire alarm preventative maintenanceSkills Required:Required: Previous datacenter experienceRequired: Experience with mechanical systems in a high availability assembly / manufacturing / critical infrastructure environment such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields.Required: 5+ year(s) work/applied learning experience in technical fields (e.g. automotive, electrical, controls, data center)Required: Able to work a flexible work schedule which could include 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, 3-, 4-, or 5-day work weeksRequired: Basic understanding of how to use MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)Location: Quebec City, QuebecSalary Range: The salary for this position is between CAD 106,000- CAD 126,000 Annually.
