They pride themselves on delivering exceptional service to clients and continuously seeking ways to improve both as a company and within the industry.ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYThis is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to take ownership of major base building and retrofit projects currently in active preconstruction and scheduled to begin in the near future. With a strong pipeline heading into 2026, the company offers stability, growth, and the opportunity to lead technically challenging work from start to finish.This role is ideal for an experienced Senior PM who brings deep knowledge of structural upgrades, institutional retrofits, and ground-up or major rebuild projects in the $5M–$25M+ range. ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Senior Project Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of base building and retrofit projects, providing leadership across preconstruction strategy, construction execution, budgeting, scheduling, and client relationship management. Supported by a strong team of Superintendents and Project Coordinators, this role is responsible for ensuring successful delivery of complex structural scopes.ResponsibilitiesLead full project lifecycle from Preconstruction through turnoverDrive early planning, budgeting, design coordination, and procurement strategyOversee structural upgrades, envelope work, and complex rebuild scopesDirect the work of Site Superintendents and Project CoordinatorsCoordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and trade partnersManage schedules, risk tracking, reporting, and project documentationReview drawings, structural packages, and technical submittalsOversee cost control, forecasting, and financial reportingIssue and manage subcontracts, startup documentation, insurance, and WCBPrepare monthly progress claims and review/approve subtrade invoicesEnsure quality, safety, and building standards are upheld throughout constructionQualifications10+ years of commercial construction experience in a PM or Senior PM capacityProven experience delivering base building and retrofit projects $5M–$30M+Strong technical understanding of structural work, sequencing, coordination, and field operationsExperience with institutional facilities, community buildings, or complex rebuilds an assetPost-secondary technical education (BCIT or equivalent) in Construction or related fieldProficient with construction software (Procore, Outbuild, BuildingConnected, Microsoft Teams)Strong communication and leadership skills; able to build trust with owners and consultantsHighly organized, proactive, and confident overseeing large-scale construction deliveryCompensationSalary: $145,000 -$165,000 (includes base salary + vehicle benefit; dependent on experience)Bonus: Performance-based; historically 10–20%+, above industry averageWork Model: Combination of office, site, and home based on project phaseBenefits: Comprehensive extended health plan above industry standardGrowth: Opportunities to take on larger, more complex base building portfoliosEnvironment: Supportive, people-first culture with strong team alignment and modern technologyAt Aplin — together with our brands CompuStaff and Impact Recruitment — we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
