Commercial Sales Representative

Are you a results-driven sales professional looking for an opportunity to grow a customer portfolio in the fuels and lubricants industry? A leading Canadian-owned fuel and convenience provider is seeking a Sales Representative to expand their market presence in Commercial Fuels, Residential Fuels, Propane, Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), and Lubricants across Southwestern Ontario. With a strong footprint of 150+ retail locations, this organization has built a reputation for delivering quality products and exceptional customer service. This role focuses on business development, emphasizing new customer acquisition while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. Key markets served include agriculture, commercial fleets, construction, industrial, automotive, and residential sectors.
Description
- Identify and secure new customers within the assigned territory through strategic prospecting and win-win negotiations.
- Research prospective clients and establish relationships with key stakeholders.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers to ensure continued satisfaction and loyalty.
- Cultivate and engage with industry partners, including suppliers, contractors, dealerships, and referral sources.
- Assess customer needs and develop tailored, value-driven proposals that address service, product, delivery, and pricing requirements.
- Collaborate with Division Managers to coordinate installations and service work.
- Assist in marketing initiatives, promotions, and advertising efforts as needed.
- Analyze account profitability and ensure proper approvals and documentation for equipment and supply agreements, aligning with ROI expectations.
- Act as a trusted technical resource, gaining expert product knowledge to support customers and colleagues.
- Participate in industry training and trade shows to stay ahead of market trends.
- Support product and equipment deliveries as needed.
Requirements
- Proven track record in sales, with a minimum of 3 years experience in a related role.
- Experience in petroleum, lubricants, or industrial sales is an asset.
- Proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce is a plus.
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and thrives in an independent work environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A valid driver's license is required.
