Job Description and Responsibilities

Join EVRAZ North America's Camrose team as a Shift Supervisor and play a pivotal role in driving excellence on the production floor. In this dynamic position, you'll lead and inspire a diverse team to meet daily production goals while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Contribute to optimize operations to increase productivity and improve Yield and First Pass Yield
  • Ensure compliance with all aspects of the safety, health, environmental and quality programs
  • Plan and direct daily production activities, to ensure daily production requirements are met and/or exceeded and conformance with the monthly shipping plan is assured
  • Provide or arrange training for employees to meet the standards of the job they are performing
  • Due diligence - make every reasonable effort to ensure the safety the employees
  • Conduct monthly safety meetings
  • Support all company and regulatory requirements
  • Effectively report mechanical/electrical concerns immediately and contribute to failure analysis
  • Engage employees in continuous improvement to identify and eliminate waste


Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • Minimum two years' supervisory experience
  • Industrial operations experience, experience in operating steel/pipe facilities preferred
  • Demonstrated business operations and process improvement experience
  • Understanding and knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Familiarity with occupational health and safety (OH&S) regulations and safety standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven ability to motivate team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
