Key Responsibilities- Read and Interpret Blueprints
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure that the project is completed according to specifications.
- Prepare and Install Wood Frames
Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision. Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to construct and install wood frames.
- Install Roof Systems and Exterior Finishing
Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure a sturdy and secure structure. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to complete the exterior finishing.
- Work in a Fast-Paced Environment
Work in a noisy, dusty, and outdoors environment, with various locations and tasks to complete. Physically demanding work requires the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and tools.
- Meet Safety and Quality Standards
Wear steel-toed safety boots and adhere to safety protocols to prevent injuries. Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard of quality, meeting the expectations of our clients and the company.
Requirements- Education and Experience
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field. Permanent employment with 35 to 40 hours per week.
- Language and Communication
Fluency in English and excellent communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
