Retail Store Supervisor Job Description

Petro Canada is seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations, you will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning sales workers to duties, and overseeing payroll administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise staff and assign sales workers to duties
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff
  • Authorize payments by cheque and merchandise returns
  • Establish work schedules and prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
  • Resolve customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory, supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
  • Oversee payroll administration and conduct performance reviews
Requirements:
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a retail environment
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
  • Flexibility, reliability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment:
  • Air conditioned retail service establishment
  • 30 to 40 hours per week
  • Permanent position
