Transportation Equipment Technician

Bison Transport Inc. is seeking a skilled Transportation Equipment Technician to join our team.

We are committed to your career advancement as a skilled technician and support national tractor and trailer apprentice certification programs. All of our technicians are enrolled in the Technician Safety Award Program, providing awards and recognition for safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Service Coordinator, Tractor Mechanics, and other Trailer Mechanics to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet.
  • Diagnose problems found during inspections and prescribe the correct remedial action.

Requirements:

  • A Licensed Heavy-Duty Mechanic.
  • Demonstrated diagnosing and time-management abilities.
  • Previous experience and qualification to perform Safeties are mandatory.
  • Experience using computers to enter work orders.

Qualifications:

  • A certified Journeyman Technician or 2-3 years' experience.
  • Ability to perform Safety inspections; ability to obtain CVIP is mandatory.
