Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver - Over the Road

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Highway Ranger Trucking Ltd. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Pay and receive payments for goods
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Requirements:

  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Will train

Work Environment: This is a permanent position with a variable schedule, working 50 to 60 hours per week. The work environment is varied, with opportunities to work in different locations.
