About the Role:

D. Rocha Build's is seeking a skilled Carpentry Apprentice to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting experienced carpenters with various tasks, including preparing layouts, measuring and cutting materials, and assembling and joining wood and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist experienced carpenters with tasks such as preparing layouts, measuring and cutting materials, and assembling and joining wood and other materials.
  • Work at heights, in noisy and dusty environments, and outdoors.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
  • Maintaining, repairing and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience.
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy and dusty environments, and outdoors.
  • Physical ability to handle heavy loads, work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and maintain a large workload with tight deadlines.
  • Reliability, accurate work, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, and values and ethics.
