Job Title: Junior Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Estimator to join our team at Ignite Construction. As a Junior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, preparing pre-qualification submissions, and reading blueprints to determine work requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their needs and expectations
  • Collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure accurate estimates and timely project delivery
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads, and advise on tendering procedures
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Client focus and team player
