About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Toronto. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our buildings and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair building equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment, and reporting any issues to the facilities manager.
  • Respond to work orders and emergency situations, such as equipment failures or safety hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve facility maintenance goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance and repair, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
