Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide administrative and clinical support to our healthcare practitioners, ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Answer calls and greet patients in a helpful and respectful manner
    • Schedule appointments and manage referrals
    • Handle billing and result management
  • Lab Duties:
    • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
    • Perform basic laboratory tests on the premises
    • Dispose of contaminated supplies and sterilize medical instruments
  • Patient Care Duties:
    • Coordinate patient care through the clinic
    • Check in patients, prepare exam rooms, and escort patients to exam rooms
    • Provide post-appointment service and monitor the waiting room
  • General Duties:
    • Ensure patient confidentiality and security at all times
    • Perform other related clinical and administrative tasks as required
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to analyze and problem-solve
  • Open and accountable
  • Ability to work varying shift patterns as needed
  • Experience as an MOA or MOA programs certification is an asset
  • Experience with EMR systems and MSP billing is an asset
