Position Overview

The City of Saint John is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our operational team as skilled workers in the field of wastewater treatment.

Successful candidates will possess a relevant two-year technical diploma, a strong aptitude for learning and adapting to new technologies, and a commitment to professional development within the municipal public service. They will also demonstrate a dedication to achieving excellence in their work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform labor-intensive construction and maintenance tasks related to water and sanitary systems.
  • Contribute to water treatment, wastewater treatment, fire hydrant maintenance, customer metering, facility upkeep, and equipment repair.

Qualifications

A completed diploma, certificate, or degree of two years or more in a relevant field is required for consideration.

Important Note:

Employment with the City of Saint John requires proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a valid medical exemption certificate. Individuals providing a valid medical exemption must adhere to the City's Vaccine and Test Policy. Failure to comply with this condition may result in termination.
