Job Title: Director of Third Party Risk Management
Job Summary:
MUFG Investor Services is seeking a highly skilled Director of Third Party Risk Management to join our team. As a key member of our risk management department, you will be responsible for maintaining and implementing the Third-Party Management governance framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and identifying and mitigating key risks that impact clients and the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Third-Party Management Governance: Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the group Third-Party Management governance framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and performing ongoing review of its effectiveness in identifying, reducing, controlling, and reporting key Third-Party Management risks.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure third-party risk management and Third-Party Management policies and procedures adhere to regulatory standards, keeping up to date with changing regulations in relevant jurisdictions, and applying knowledge to the role. Coordinate with Compliance, Operational Risk, and internal/external audit to meet group and regulatory requirements.
- Point of Contact: Act as the point of contact for Third-Party Management related queries, providing guidance and training in line with third-party management policy, procedures, and regulations to internal clients and stakeholders, maintaining a team spirit and collaborative approach.
- Ongoing Monitoring and Reviews: Oversee, advise, and support all parties in the performance of ongoing monitoring and periodic reviews of Third-Party engagements, including outsourcing arrangements, on-site inspections, and assessment of all proposed new engagements.
- Issue Identification and Risk Trends: Identify third-party management issues and risk trends, with attention to outsourcing regulatory requirements, at the earliest opportunity, agree remedial action, and where possible implement best practice in alignment with favorable trends.
- Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain the group records of Third-Party Providers and Outsourcing Registers, drafting and distribution of documentation for the completion of assessments, ongoing monitoring, and periodic reviews.
- Process Automation: Continuously look to automate and develop the third-party management processes for efficient completion of third-party management governance.
- Reporting and Presentations: Assist in reporting to the Outsourcing and Risk Committees, the Boards of all outsourced service receivers, and MUTB on the third-party management governance framework. Prepare and deliver client due diligence presentations as directed. Participate in client due diligence, RFPs, or external third-party provider assessments as required.
- Team Management: Manage, support, and train other members of the Third-Party Management team as necessary.
Requirements:
- Education: Primary level degree in law, business, finance, or a relevant professional qualification.
- Experience: Prior experience of in-house legal practice, third-party management, risk, or compliance.
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerBi, and other data analysis tools an asset.
