Steel Welder/Fabricator Job Description

Arrow Transportation Systems Inc is seeking a skilled Steel Welder/Fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our Arrow Marine Division, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work on a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to Occupational Health and Safety regulations
  • Operate welding equipment and manual flame-cutting equipment
  • Conduct repairs, modifications, and retrofits
  • Assist in development of repair estimates
  • Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues
  • Maintain a working knowledge of changes in welding compliance, practices and techniques
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
Requirements:
  • Interprovincial Red Seal or Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) tickets (minimum C ticket)
  • Proven experience, 5 years preferred
  • Must pass physical to ensure bonafide job requirements can be fulfilled
  • All position welding
  • Experience with routine maintenance operations
  • Proven abilities with MIG, TIG and ARC processes
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Needs to be responsible, accountable and dependable
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills both verbally and written
