About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at Bois Consultants Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Perform calculations for fixed assets and depreciation, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Manage financial records, establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements, providing key insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Post journal entries, accurately recording financial transactions and maintaining the integrity of our financial records.
  • Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports, providing actionable insights to support business decisions.
  • Prepare trial balances of books, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, including QuickBooks or similar platforms.
  • A degree in Accounting or a related field, with certification (e.g., CPA) an asset.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental coverage, retirement savings plan, and opportunities for professional development.
