Savers is seeking a skilled Commercial Lawyer to join our team. As a Retail Store Legal Professional, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to prepare, review, and negotiate contracts.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and negotiate various legal contracts and commercial agreements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, data security, IP, licensing, and litigation areas.
- Manage risk through training and coaching of business partners and implementation of efficient contract governance processes.
- Communicate legal issues to business clients in an effective and succinct manner.
- Integrate legal and business knowledge to develop practical business solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Hold a Juris Doctorate and be licensed to practice law in the United States or Canada.
- Possess 3+ years post-call experience.
- Demonstrate experience in either an in-house legal department or law firm environment.
- Exhibit excellent judgment and analytical skills and ability to assess risk and provide practical advice.
- Possess experience in a wide range of general corporate or commercial legal areas.
- Show a keen interest in learning and adapting to change and new technologies.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across the business.
