This role combines analytical depth with hands-on expertise and strategic vision to configure, optimize, and support the Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System (WMS). The goal is to ensure the system meets logistics, warehousing, and supply chain objectives. You will work closely with clients, operational sites, and user communities to provide the best possible solution and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze warehousing, distribution, and logistics requirements and translate them into detailed functional specifications and systems design for the Blue Yonder WMS.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, identify system capabilities, and document business processes that can be enhanced through the WMS.
  • Design configurations and architecture that align with company goals, ensuring scalability and adherence to industry best practices.

System Implementation & Configuration:

  • Lead implementation and customization of the Blue Yonder WMS, including setup, configuration, and testing.
  • Oversee integration efforts between Blue Yonder WMS and other key systems, including ERP, TMS, and order management systems.
  • Customize and fine-tune modules and configurations to align with business workflows and optimize efficiency, accuracy, and speed.

Solution Architecture & System Optimization:

  • Design and implement solutions that improve warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and productivity.
  • Architect and implement advanced features, including automation for inventory management, order picking, shipping, receiving, and reverse logistics.
  • Assess and adjust the system architecture to meet future business needs and integrate seamlessly with evolving technology solutions.

Support & Continuous Improvement:

  • Provide post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and enhancements to maintain high system performance and user satisfaction.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within the WMS to increase warehouse efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the Blue Yonder WMS, staying current with the latest BY features and enhancements, and advising on best practices.

Training & Documentation:

  • Develop and deliver training sessions for superusers, ensuring they are proficient in using the Blue Yonder WMS.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, including user guides, technical configurations, process flows, and architectural diagrams.
  • Engage in knowledge transfer to internal teams, empowering them to handle basic troubleshooting and system maintenance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Serve as a bridge between IT, operations, and external vendors to align WMS configurations with broader business strategies.
  • Conduct periodic reviews with stakeholders to assess performance, gather feedback, and identify areas for system or process improvements.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year

To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience with Blue Yonder WMS or similar warehouse management systems is required. Experience in business systems analysis, solution design, and/or solution architecture within the supply chain or logistics environment is also necessary. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to travel are essential.
