About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Tasty Sweets and Restaurant Ltd. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting meats to meet the demands of our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare meats for processing or cutting
  • Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters to meet customer requirements
  • Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat
  • Wrap and package prepared meats for storage and display
  • Remove bones from meat to ensure quality and safety
  • Cut poultry into parts and fish into steaks and fillets
  • Grind meats to meet customer specifications
  • Slice cooked meats for serving
  • Shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood for presentation
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment

The Meat Cutter will work in a restaurant and food service environment, with regular exposure to meat, poultry, and seafood. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and safety.

Language and Work Term

The successful candidate will be fluent in English and able to work a 40-hour week. This is a permanent position with opportunities for growth and development.
