About the Position

As a School Bus Driver with First Student, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school. You'll be responsible for prioritizing vehicle maintenance, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, and providing exceptional customer service to students and parents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritize vehicle maintenance and conduct regular inspections to ensure the safety and reliability of our fleet.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students and parents, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work collaboratively with other drivers and support staff to ensure the smooth operation of our transportation services.
Qualifications
  • Good verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • At least 21 years old and a valid driver's license for at least 1 year.
  • Undergo and pass a Ministry-prescribed medical examination and background checks.
What We Offer
  • A competitive hourly wage of $20.50.
  • A $2000 sign-on bonus for fully licensed drivers and a $1500 sign-on bonus for new drivers.
  • Guaranteed hours of at least 4 hours per day, with opportunities for additional hours on charter routes.
  • A child ride-along program and optional night or weekend hours.
