We are seeking an experienced Deployment Specialist with strong PHP skills to join our team. This role is not just about managing deployments; it's about being the driving force behind smooth operations. You will oversee the entire deployment pipeline, using GitLab CI/CD to ensure seamless transitions from development to production across over 80 staging servers.
You will be responsible for organizing and prioritizing the deployment queue, ensuring that packages at various stages are managed and moved forward in alignment with project timelines. Your thorough code reviews will maintain high standards of code quality, ensuring reliable and efficient deployments.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will facilitate clear and effective communication between development teams to drive fixed versions and ensure alignment across all project stakeholders. Your ability to identify opportunities to enhance our deployment processes and implement best practices will optimize the pipeline.
As a Deployment Specialist, you will maintain comprehensive documentation of deployment processes, best practices, and emergency procedures to ensure that the team is always prepared. With at least 5 years of experience as a PHP developer and 2 years of experience with pipeline deployments, you possess the necessary expertise to excel in this role.
This position requires extensive experience in PHP development, with a deep understanding of the language and its best practices. Proficiency in GitLab CI/CD, Jira for project management and issue tracking, and the ability to coordinate between different teams effectively are also essential. A proven ability to take charge of deployment processes, coordinate teams, and make critical decisions under pressure is crucial.
