About the Role:

Giant Tiger Wholesale is seeking a skilled Hybrid Order Picker/Forklift Operator to join our team at our new distribution centre in Johnstown, ON. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for performing the CON Forklift Operator role on Sunday and Monday, and the Order Picking role on Thursday and Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pick orders to supply over 260 Giant Tiger stores across Canada with their inventory
  • Operate a forklift to move inventory and supplies throughout the warehouse
  • Identify and match picked skids with outbound licence plate numbers (OLPNs) provided with the order
  • Certify accuracy for all picked inventory and ensure orders are ready for shipment within set deadlines
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic math and PC skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and repetitively lift heavy objects throughout shift
  • Comfortable in a noisy, fast-paced environment
  • Punctual, adaptable, and spatially aware of surroundings
  • Strong attention to detail

What We Offer:

  • Starting wage of $19.43/hour
  • Additional 52¢/hour while performing forklift role
  • Additional $2/hour for hours worked 9:00pm - 6:00am
  • Automatic milestone wage increases at 1040 hours, 2080 hours, 4160 hours, and annually after that
