Octav Labs Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical team, you will play a central role in enabling data-driven decisions for the development of our product, Octav.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Optimize Data Systems: Design and implement robust data pipelines to support our product initiatives, including extracting, transforming, and loading ETL data from various sources.
- Automation and Performance Tracking: Automate data workflows and integrate machine learning models to enhance data accuracy and efficiency, selecting appropriate KPIs and developing systems to track these metrics effectively.
- Infrastructure Management: Manage and optimize our AWS-hosted services to ensure high availability and performance, collaborating with the backend team and CTO to enhance data architecture and server functionality.
- Resource Allocation: Support the CTO in delegating the proper technical team resources for each project.
- Team Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with the junior technical team, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to deployments, and stay abreast of the latest developments in DeFi to drive innovation within our data practices.
- Must be based in Montreal, Canada.
- Willing to put in long hours and hard work in a startup environment.
- Understanding of DeFi and its ecosystem.
- Minimum of 10 years as a full stack developer with a strong track record in data system design, implementation, and optimization.
- Technical expertise in TypeScript or Python, with a solid foundation in related testing frameworks like Jest or PyTest.
- Excellent SQL skills and extensive experience with key AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and AWSLambda.
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining machine learning models, preferably with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Experience with data ingestion pipelines and familiarity with tools such as Apache Kafka or Apache Airflow is highly desirable.
- Leadership qualities, including excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, capable of leading projects and mentoring team members.
