About the Role

Moose Trucking is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Optimization
    • Utilize computer equipment, GPS systems, and other navigation devices to plan and adjust routes, minimizing fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Team Collaboration and Coaching
    • Coach colleagues on new methods and work techniques to enhance overall team performance.
  • Customer Service and Relations
    • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring professionalism and satisfaction.
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Operations
    • Oversee the condition of vehicles, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
    • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all aspects of vehicle maintenance are met.
    • Perform emergency roadside repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability.
  • Logistics and Administration
    • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
    • Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes.
