About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Project Manager to join our team at Scotiabank.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Oversee and support transformational projects, maintaining executive reporting to support informed decision-making at the executive level.
  • Work directly with key stakeholders to plan, define, document, and maintain implementation activities and timing.
  • Responsible for business case development and tracking/reporting of project and financial status for SIP, Delivery Office, and Monthly and Quarter Business Reviews.
  • Own integrated project plans, status reporting/meetings, and issue and risk management for the integrated projects.
  • Establish tracking and monitoring systems/tools to measure progress and key metrics to ensure compliance with the operational model on an ongoing basis.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Create an environment in which the team pursues effective and efficient operations, ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls.
  • Build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates the team.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of business or project management experience in the financial services sector.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of Project Management discipline & agile processes.
  • Proactive, self-starter, and capable of learning new ways of doing things.
  • Excellent organizational skills, relationship management, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Delivery-oriented, with demonstrated ability for strategic influencing, stakeholder facilitation, collaboration in cross-functional teams, and facility with complex data processes.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and working in a high-pressure environment with rapidly changing deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with project stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Strong technical ability with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
