About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Vaco. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial reports, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a library of financial reports, including budget development and financial analysis.
  • Provide support and information to management staff to assist them in understanding their financial requirements and developing appropriate operating and capital budgets.
  • Conduct monthly accounts analysis and reconciliations, and handle responsibility for maintenance of General Ledger-Chartfield maintenance, journal entries, and month-end closing.
  • Prepare Employer Health Tax and WSIB monthly submission, and provide assistance with year-end closing and audit as required.
  • Provide formal finance training as required.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in finance and accounting. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business, or a related discipline, and a minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in Finance/Accounting, including 1-2 years of experience in decision support.

The successful candidate will have a high level of proficiency in the use of computer tools, including an ERP-based financial system, preferably PeopleSoft, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook.
