Job Title: Fire Alarm Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fire alarm systems to ensure the safety of our customers and their properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and test fire alarm systems to ensure they meet industry standards and regulations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to design and implement fire alarm systems.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers and colleagues on fire alarm systems.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect and test fire alarm systems.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician.
  • Completion of a college diploma in Fire Protection or Electrical/Electronic or Licensed Electrician.
  • Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) certification or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of provincial building codes and ULC standards S524, S536, and S537.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and electronic test equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 40lbs and climb ladders and scaffolding.
  • Valid driver's license and strong communication skills.
