We are seeking a skilled Furniture Craftsman to join our team at Skona Design Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality custom cabinets and furniture pieces.
Responsibilities:- Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made and bring them to life with precision and attention to detail.
- Trim joints and fit parts together to form complete units, ensuring a seamless finish.
- Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, preparing them for delivery.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products, demonstrating your expertise and creativity.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a custom cabinet shop.
- Demonstrated skills in woodworking, including trim joints, sanding, and applying finishes.
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Possession of a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, with a focus on trade-related studies.
- An estimated salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience and location.
- A permanent full-time position, working 35 hours per week.
