About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Purple Potamus Preschool & Junior Kindergarten Inc. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement engaging child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our students, promoting their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities that foster a love for learning, including storytelling, singing, and exploring local points of interest, while guiding children in developing essential life skills such as eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor children's progress, identifying potential learning or behavioral issues, and prepare comprehensive reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Collaboration and Community Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and community service providers, working together to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for our students.
  • Environment and Safety: Create and maintain a safe, healthy, and stimulating environment that promotes the well-being of our students.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a Child Development Worker (ECE level 2) certification.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Be able to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments.
  • Work Term and Hours: Commit to a permanent position with 35 hours of work per week.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
