About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Shift Manager to join our team at Daybreak. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service team, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Establish and implement efficient methods to meet work schedules, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring they have the necessary skills to excel in their roles.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, maintaining accurate records of stock and wastage.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet our quality control standards, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a timely and courteous manner, providing solutions to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Prepare and submit reports, maintaining accurate records of sales, stock, and repairs.
Requirements
  • Education: A strong educational background, preferably in a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food service industry.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers.
  • Work Schedule: A 35-hour workweek, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
