Dalstrong Inc. is seeking a skilled Photographer to join our team. Key responsibilities include determining picture composition, making technical adjustments to equipment, and adapting existing images for multimedia products.

Requirements:

  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Work Setting:

  • Business and/or industry

Tasks:

  • Determine picture composition
  • Make technical adjustments to equipment and photograph subjects
  • Adapt existing photographic images and create new digitized images to be included in multimedia/new media products
  • Operate computers to manipulate photographic images
  • Study requirements of a particular assignment and decide on type of camera, film, lighting and background accessories to be used
  • Take pictures of individuals, families, groups and public
  • Use airbrush, computer or other techniques to retouch negatives
  • Use delicate instruments, such as optical microscopes attached to cameras
