Cafeteria Cook Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cafeteria Cook to join our team at Northern Lights College. As a relief cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of meals and assisting with menu planning and catering events on campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals for students, staff, and the public
  • Assist with menu planning and catering events
  • Ensure Food Safe regulations are practiced
  • Operate kitchen equipment, including grills, broilers, deep fryers, and ovens

Requirements:

  • Professional Cook Training, Level 3 preferred
  • Valid and current Food Safe certification
  • Experience with short order cooking and nutritious meal preparation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions:

This is a relief, on-call position, with hours varying between 7:30am and 3:00pm, Monday to Friday. The cafeteria closes during the summer months and Christmas closure.
