About the Role

The qualified HVAC Engineering candidate shall be responsible for reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical engineering specifications, as they pertain to Custom Air Handling designs.

The applications of this highly configurable airside product are most often required for hospitals, airports, college/university, industrial processes, and datacenters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design of Custom Air Handling Units to meet project specifications.
  • Prepare submittal drawings.
  • Create order write-up/Enter orders into SAP.
  • Provide air handling product application guidance to Sales/Distributors.
  • Assist Sales teams with technical support and design guidance.
  • Develop and review engineering specifications to optimize key features and technical aspects of the product line.
  • Negotiate pricing and protect project profitability.
  • Understand North American HVAC market developments and recognize business opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in HVAC/Building Engineering.
  • 5+ years experience in HVAC industry.
  • 5+ years experience with AutoCAD.
  • 5+ years experience as a HVAC Engineering Designer.
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications (assets):

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Building Engineering.
  • HVAC Engineering Design experience in Custom Air Handling Units.
  • Knowledge of the specification process with bidding phases, Contractor/Rep sales.
  • Knowledge of Inventor, REVIT software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish and/or French.
  • Must be highly detail-oriented and have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be proactive and be able to work with minimal follow-up.
  • Able to work in teams and contribute to process improvement activities.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines.
