We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team at Baillie House. As a key member of our care team, you will work closely with our therapists to implement programs that meet the needs of our residents/patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist therapists in organizing and implementing therapeutic programs for assigned residents/patients.
- Participate in resident/patient activities of daily living, including self-care and meal-management.
- Assist with resident/patient mobility, including wheelchair seating, strengthening exercises, and transfers.
- Contribute to the fabrication of splints and adaptive devices, as well as modification of patient clothing and eating utensils.
- Report relevant observations to other care team members and maintain accurate records.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Completion of a Rehabilitation Assistant Program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize work and operate related equipment.
