Job Title: Apprentice Automotive Service Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Apprentice Automotive Service Technician to join our team at St. James Volkswagen. As an Apprentice Automotive Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest level of vehicle maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform oil and filter changes
  • Conduct multi-point inspections and diagnose issues
  • Perform vehicle repairs and parts replacement
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
  • Document all work performed on the repair order
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs
  • Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean and notify Service Advisor of any changes
  • Keep shop area neat and clean
  • Operate tools and equipment in a safe manner

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Level 1 Service Automotive Apprentice training
  • Familiarity with ADP and CDK programs is considered an asset
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Efficient problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving history
