About the Role
BBA Consultants is seeking an experienced Water Treatment Engineer to join our team in Montréal. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out water treatment projects and seeking new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on complex water treatment issues, including pilot plant studies and laboratory testing.
- Offer technical advice on multidisciplinary work scopes, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with project management teams and other discipline leaders to manage project deliverables, including study, design, execution, and commissioning phases.
- Work with other BBA departments and offices, as well as environmental regulators, on project-related work.
- Research and develop new business opportunities in water treatment for the mining and industrial sectors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering (a master's degree or doctorate would be an asset).
- Fluent in French written and spoken (bilingual English and French would be an asset).
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in the municipal or industrial sector (mining experience would be an asset).
- Proficient in analyzing and modeling techniques to establish mass and energy balances, process flow diagrams, and P&IDs.
- Knowledge and understanding of all stages of mine development and operation, as well as certain metallurgical and industrial processes.
- Demonstrated ability to write proposals and work plans.
- Experience as a consultant essential.
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec or eligibility criteria met.
- Ability to travel to mine or project sites, as required.
