Job Summary

This Corporate Tax Specialist position plays a crucial role in optimizing corporate tax results, ensuring effective tax compliance, and providing expert advice. If you are a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and analytical skills, this opportunity may be suitable for you.

Responsibilities:
  • As a Corporate Tax Specialist, you will be accountable for minimizing corporate tax costs through effective tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of tax returns, and managing government audits.
  • You will also be responsible for reviewing and making recommendations on tax alternatives to optimize corporate tax results, developing and maintaining computer models for tax provisions and compliance, and performing special assignments as needed.
  • Additionally, you will provide effective cash management of tax balances with government authorities and monitor changes in Canadian tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in corporate tax compliance and/or provision.
  • A Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian corporate tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and electronic tax research tools.
