We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our interprofessional team at Markham Stouffville Hospital and Uxbridge Hospital. As a key member of our Respiratory Therapy Department, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care to patients with respiratory care needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide respiratory care to patients in the Emergency Department and Med/Surg inpatient unit at Uxbridge Hospital
- Assess patient responses to care and respond appropriately
- Collaborate with the interprofessional team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence
- Current registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
- Minimum 1 year of RRT work experience in acute care
- Preference given to applicants with recent experience in ICU and ED and demonstrated competency in patient assessment and care planning
- Current BCLS, ACLS, and NRP certification
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills
- Good attendance record and performance record
