Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our interprofessional team at Markham Stouffville Hospital and Uxbridge Hospital. As a key member of our Respiratory Therapy Department, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care to patients with respiratory care needs.

• Provide respiratory care to patients in the Emergency Department and Med/Surg inpatient unit at Uxbridge Hospital
• Assess patient responses to care and respond appropriately
• Collaborate with the interprofessional team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Provide education and support to patients and families
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence

• Current registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
• Minimum 1 year of RRT work experience in acute care
• Preference given to applicants with recent experience in ICU and ED and demonstrated competency in patient assessment and care planning
• Current BCLS, ACLS, and NRP certification
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient computer skills
• Good attendance record and performance record
