Position Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Core French teacher to fill a long-term assignment position. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Core French to students in our elementary schools, promoting language proficiency and cultural awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Core French to students in grades K-8, following the Ontario curriculum and assessment standards.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, incorporating a range of teaching strategies and technologies.
- Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure academic success.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives, promoting language learning and cultural exchange.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, staying up-to-date with best practices in language teaching and learning.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Ontario College of Teachers certification, with a specialization in Core French.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Core French, preferably in an elementary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario curriculum and assessment standards for Core French.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, prioritizing student needs and well-being.
