Day Program Facilitator

At Branches Day Program, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Day Program Facilitator to lead our small groups with individuals of all ages facing developmental disabilities, behavioral disorders, and different functioning levels.

About the Position:

A successful candidate will provide daily living support to individuals with special needs, evaluate resident's skills and development needs, and administer medication while implementing behavior management programs. They will also coordinate with other groups for special events, develop intervention models and outcome measures, and maintain program statistics for evaluation and research.

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily living support to individuals with special needs
• Evaluate resident's skills and development needs
• Conflict resolution and supervising resident day program activities
• Administering medication, implementing behavior management programs
• Organizing and coordinating with other groups for special events
• Coordinate with social services and healthcare providers
• Maintain program statistics for evaluation and research

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need strong communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. You will also require job task planning, organization, patience, and crisis management abilities. Exceptional teamwork skills, innovative, enthusiastic, and creative approach is essential. Flexible and open-minded, passionate, and positive attitude is required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of study in a related subject field or 2 years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities

Safety and Security:

• Child abuse registry check (provided free of charge)
• Valid First Aid Certificate (CPR)
