Job Description

As a Financial Operations Manager - Cash Management Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the cash receipting, deposits, and reconciliation process to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
  • Overseeing the accounts receivable function, including fee assessment, collections, and reconciliations.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve cash management processes and minimize financial risks.
  • Liaising with internal departments to communicate student account updates and provide guidance on tax receipt eligibility.
  • Maintaining internal controls to safeguard university revenues and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • An undergraduate degree in business administration or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years related experience in financial administration and accounts receivable, including supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as Sage 300, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience with overdue accounts and debt collection.

What We Offer

The starting annual salary for this role will be $85,000-$95,000 CAD, dependent on skills, education, and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including pension and health spending account, annual vacation accrual, paid time off over the University closure, flexible/hybrid work arrangements, and professional development opportunities.
