Job Summary: Matrix Camps and Logistics is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team in a remote camp environment. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical components, as well as ensuring compliance with building code regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and test electrical circuits and connections using electrical test equipment.
  • Maintain and repair electrical equipment, including ordering parts as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with building code regulations and industry standards.
  • Participate in daily toolbox meetings and support monthly work-site inspections.
  • Perform tasks according to safe work practices and safe job procedures.
  • Notify management of unsafe practices and environments.
  • Report all incidents and accidents immediately.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one (3) year working in a construction field electrician in a camp environment.
  • Certified Journeyman Electrician (Red Seal) required.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work a rotation schedule.
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
  • Physically able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Able to walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of performance over an extended period.
