Truck Driver

Canada Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Route Optimization Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of heavy vehicles, including straight and articulated trucks, to transport goods and materials across the country.
Key Responsibilities- Route Planning and Optimization: Use computer equipment and GPS technology to plan and adjust routes in real-time, minimizing fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance.
- Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, and ensure the safe and secure transportation of cargo.
- Compliance and Safety: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and adhere to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
- Licenses and Certifications: AZ class license and Air Brakes Endorsement.
This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances. The successful candidate will be required to work overtime as needed.
