Job Summary

We are currently seeking a qualified Railway Bridgeperson to join our team for the 2024 maintenance and construction season. As a Railway Bridgeperson, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all Remcan and customer safety policies and procedures, demonstrating proficiency in all aspects of the railway industry and B&S components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance, repair, and inspection of railway bridges and bridge components (concrete, wood, or steel)
  • Qualify in Fall Arrest and Scaffolding Installation (where required)
  • Demonstrate a proficiency in carpentry techniques such as framing, measuring, and building forms
  • Work at heights including ladders, scaffolding, and man lifts
  • Experience working with or around heavy equipment on-and-off track (an asset)
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a related field
  • Valid Class 5 or Class G driver's license and ability to produce a driver's abstract
  • Knowledge and recent qualification in Canadian Railway Operating Rules (CROR)
  • Pass eRailSafe Canada certification
  • Pass pre-employment medical which includes drug and alcohol screening
