RSM's Private Client Services practice is seeking a dynamic Tax Manager to join our team. At RSM, our Private Client Services practice is rooted in strong relationships based on a deep understanding of what matters most to our clients. Our private client service offering features a team of strategic advisors who focus exclusively on helping business owners and high net worth families strengthen their wealth and minimize tax.

We serve single to multi-generational private businesses operating nationally and internationally, in all stages of the business cycle, as well as high net worth families and beyond, with complex and diverse financial and tax requirements operating locally and internationally.

  1. Advise business owner clients on a full spectrum of business and tax opportunities, including succession planning, wealth transfer planning, and tax compliance.
  2. Manage and oversee the engagement team focused on partnership, corporate, and trust entities, including planning and execution of client tax engagements.
  3. Anticipate client needs and collaborate with RSM colleagues in specialty tax areas, as well as cross-line of business, to build client relationships and support growth.
  4. Provide leadership, training, and career mentorship to staff and supervisor-level team members.
  5. Drive and collaborate with senior leadership on growth opportunities with existing clients and prospects.
  6. Develop and sustain strong relationships with clients and other professional advisors through a commitment to outstanding client service.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a business-related field.
  • CPA license or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in public accounting with an emphasis on taxation and/or private client taxation.
  • Proficient in entity (partnerships, corporations, trusts) and individual taxation.
  • Familiar with gift and estate taxation.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to work in a collaborative team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA in-depth course and/or Master's in Taxation.
  • Experience with private client or business taxation with a desire to grow skills in the private client arena.

RSM offers a competitive benefits and compensation package for all employees, prioritizing wellbeing by delivering personalized, holistic programming for physical, emotional, financial, and community wellbeing.

Compensation Range: $81,500 - $130,500.

Selected individuals will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
