Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Cost Controller to join our team. As a key member of our project control group, you will be responsible for managing project costs, monitoring performance, and providing timely and accurate cost reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain project cost accounts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Coordinate with project teams to gather data for cost reports, analyzing budget variances and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and deliver regular cost status reports to stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and trends.
  • Collaborate with financial shared services to initiate and review client invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Interface with planners to update estimate-to-complete and ensure alignment with project schedules.
  • Support preparation of invoices through providing cost support information, verifying accuracy, and initiating workflow approvals.
  • Record POs from procurement systems, incurred costs, and commitments, analyzing commitment details.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, or related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in project cost control, preferably in engineering and construction projects.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, particularly Excel, and familiar with Primavera P6 or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet project deadlines.
