Senior Project Manager - Rail Signals and Communications

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our Rail Signals and Communications team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, and meeting client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project pursuits and prepare proposals to secure new business opportunities.
  • Plan and manage each stage of a project to ensure all contractual commitments are met on time and within budget.
  • Identify necessary resources for the execution of Signals and Communications projects.
  • Develop project scope, identify deliverables, and prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets for all project stages.
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management.
  • Lead project controls staff and overall project team.
  • Maintain a good understanding of the project scope to identify scope creep.
  • Ensure timely internal and external communication throughout all project phases.
  • Comply with the AECOM Quality Management System methodology and project management process.
  • Participate in monthly project reviews.
  • Ensure project close-out documents are submitted upon completion.
  • Act as a mentor to junior project management and controls professionals.
  • Enroll and obtain the MAP (Managing AECOM Projects) Certification.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline + 6 years of relevant experience in project management in rail for signals OR Technical Diploma + 8 years of experience in project management in rail and/or signals.
  • Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 8 years or more of relevant experience in public rail and transit.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in LRT and Freight rail, Signalling & Train Control.
  • Experience in State of Good Repair projects.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects of various types and complexities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and team skills.
  • Able to multitask due to concurrent projects.
