About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at BC Hydro. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of our power generation and transmission systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new mechanical systems and equipment for our power generation and transmission facilities.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our mechanical systems.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations, maintenance, and project management, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into our overall business operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on power generation and transmission.
  • Certifications: Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association, or eligibility for registration.
