About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes. You will also requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colours are crucial. The ideal candidate must be able to handle heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and work under pressure with tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare dough and batters according to recipes or special customer orders
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
  • Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
