Job Summary

As a key member of the Wealth Management Services team at Royal Bank of Canada, you will work closely with Investment Advisors to provide expert consulting services to their clients. This involves collaborating with tax and legal professionals to deliver integrated wealth management solutions that meet the complex needs of affluent families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive client interviews and create detailed summary reports to recap advice discussed during sessions.
  • Participate in client/prospect seminars and develop relationships with estate planning professionals both within and outside RBC Financial Group.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant legislation, policy, and risk management issues.
  • Identify new business and referral opportunities for RBC Financial Group.
  • Foster a collaborative working environment across RBC Financial Group to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of activities and results.
  • Work with advisors to identify suitable opportunities.
  • Coordinate actions resulting from client interviews (e.g., internal and external consultants).
  • Stay informed about the business unit's strategy and client offerings.
Requirements
  • Canadian Law Degree and bar admission in at least one Canadian province or territory.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience and advanced knowledge of Canadian legislation, including wills, estate, and trust administration, as well as related tax rules and planning opportunities.
  • Good knowledge of various insurance products as estate planning tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of common law related to wills, estates, and trusts.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Estate and Trust experience.
  • Knowledge of Insurance Planning and Solutions.
  • STEP membership.
